Voice & On-Camera Talent: Julie Zwillich

Julie has been performing on television and behind the mic since she was a kid.  She’s best known for hosting shows on CBC, Food Network Canada and Discovery, but takes most pride in her first day at her first internship when a drunk AM radio boss abandoned her in the booth alone to DJ four hours of live radio so he could hit the bar.  Julie is the in-house talent for Cross Dot, providing voiceovers, on-camera hosting and live spokesperson action. She’s worked for clients ranging from high tech to public television in every form of media. She also provides scriptwriting and polishing, making sure every word shines. Bonus: As a mom of pre-teen twins, she has an advanced degree in diplomacy.  (And a 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate. Which sometimes works better than diplomacy.)

Do you have any secret vices?

Candy. I eat it almost every day. By the way, I grew up in Hershey, PA.

Have you ever had a dream come true?

Yes. Seeing the books I’ve written on the shelves of the public library.

Most embarrassing moment?

Seal (the musician) was sitting at a table eating his lunch. I was a big fan and was thrilled to spot him. My dad walks right up to him, puts out his hand and says, pointing to me, “My daughter tells me your name is Sea Lion.”
